Our Crane Load Testing Services
Per OSHA regulations, all new cranes or cranes which have been extensively repaired and/or altered in any way should be tested to confirm the load rating of the crane. Virginia Crane has the Certified Weight Testing Equipment and the experienced personnel to perform the required tests directly on your premises and prepare the required certification reports. Once completed, these test reports will be readily available for inspection.
OSHA Par. 1910.179 Requirement: The system must be tested with a load of at least 100% but not greater than 125% of rated capacity.
Optional Load Hook Non-Destructive Testing
Please note that per O.S.H.A. standards, load hooks are not required to have non-destructive testing performed. This is strictly an optional safety test. However, for facilities looking to maximize equipment reliability and workplace safety, Virginia Crane can provide the following non-destructive testing services:
